The Davenport Community School District recognizes the importance of individual and team training and is authorizing outdoor only practices and activities beginning today, Wednesday, July 22, 2020, so long as social distancing protocols are enforced.
With the current surge of COVID cases in our region, and the high transmission rate of the virus amongst our young population, we simply cannot allow indoor practice and activities to take place at this time until our local health officials communicate that the transmission rate in Scott County is controlled and stable.

We continue to meet regularly with Scott County Health Department’s officials, who update us weekly on the current COVID-19 transmission rate in our area which informs every decision DCSD makes for our students, staff and community.
