Here are the top 3 stories today in Des Moines:
- Airplane passengers at DSM say they were stuck on a plane for hours after landing because of the overnight snow. A plane coming in from Charlotte landed at about 12:30 a.m. Monday; however, passengers say they were stuck on the plane for two hours. The airport did not have a comment. (KCCI Des Moines)

- Seven people, including two children, died in the series of tornados that ripped through multiple counties near Des Moines on Saturday. The oldest victim was 72-years-old and the youngest was just 2-years-old. The National Weather Service (NWS) office said an initial estimate of the Madison County tornado showed it was an EF3, with wind speeds of at least 136 miles per hour. (CNN)
