Event Details
What: As the U.S. turns 250, TikTok is embarking on a six-stop Discover America tour and coming to Des Moines for a one-day event to showcase how Americans are using TikTok to share their passions, build communities, and turn creativity into opportunity. Join us for a free, family-friendly experience where you can explore interactive demos in a TikTok-branded bus, meet local creators and entrepreneurs, enjoy delicious food samples from local businesses, discover hidden gems in your area, and see how TikTok helps people turn inspiration into real-world experiences.
The experience will feature different interactive stations, including:
- Hands-on demos for discovery & creation: Experience interactive demos of AI-powered features, like Creator Search Insights, AI Outline, and TikTok GO, that support the entire lifecycle of creation on TikTok – from the moment of discovery all the way to content creation.
- Teen discovery & safety center: Visit a dedicated space for families to learn more about how teens can explore their interests on TikTok with 50+ safety features and Family Pairing tools.
- Community showcase: Sample and connect with local small businesses, TikTok Shop sellers, and creators from the community — including @shopgracefulgoods, @lindatongplanners, and @thechicishchick.
- Be part of the tour: Share your favorite local spots and experiences through the in-app Discover America hub by searching “Discover America Tour” on TikTok.
