Coronavirus Exposure At Greater Des Moines Softball Complex

This is a public health notice of a positive case of COVID-19 at the Greater Des Moines Softball Complex (4980 NE 46th St.). On July 29, we were made aware of a reported positive case of COVID-19 from a participant in the 7:30 p.m. league on July 22.

Touch points such as benches and common areas at the facility are disinfected multiple times daily, as per safety protocol. Teams, staff and umpires who were onsite that night have been notified.

The health and safety of the public and our employees is our top priority. If you believe you were exposed, you should stay home and self-monitor for symptoms, and follow all Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) guidelines. Information is available from the CDC online including the criteria to discontinue home isolation. Per our “Return to Play” protocol following all federal, state and local guidelines, exposed patrons cannot use our facilities until their recommended home isolation period is complete and CDC requirements are met.
