Des Moines City Council Will Meet On June 8

DES MOINES, IOWA – Friday, June 5, 2020 – The City Clerk of Des Moines is reminding residents and the news media that Monday’s June 8 City Council meeting will be conducted remotely via a Zoom teleconference connection.

To ensure the health and safety of the public and City employees from the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, City buildings have been closed since March 17 and will remain closed at least through July 6.
Under Governor Reynolds’ COVID-19 emergency proclamation, the City of Des Moines has been given the opportunity to conduct public meetings through teleconference connections and plans to do so at least through the end of June.
