🌱 Maingate Bar & Grill Sued For Shooting + New Summer Camps

Here are the top three stories today in Des Moines:
- Eastside Des Moines' Maingate Bar & Grill and one of its bartenders are being sued over their alleged role in a fatal December shooting. Andrew Hall Sr. was shot in the parking lot of Maingate Bar & Grill on Dec. 2 and died later that month. Hall Sr.'s family is suing because a bartender served the under-aged alleged shooter before the confrontation. (Des Moines Register)
- New summer camps programs in Des Moines are at risk of shooting down amid hiring challenges. As of now, 200 kids have signed up for the four new programs across the four wards. The city is paying $12 to $17 an hour and the minimum age is 16. (Local 5 - weareiowa.com)
- The family of a woman who was killed in a hit-and-run crash is relieved the suspect is back in jail. Quntonio Herron was speeding last May when he hit three motorcycles, killing two people, Kristy Hyde and her boyfriend, Jerry Coles. Herron was arrested three days later but disappeared. He is now back in custody. (KCCI Des Moines)
