Metro Kids Care serves a small percentage of DMPS students and will follow all CDC guidelines, including those covering masks, physical distancing and sanitizing surfaces.
Staff are certified in CPR, First Aid and obtain the required number of training hours as required by the Department of Human Services. Staff are also provided training in Restorative Practices. All Metro Kids sites are licensed by DHS.

Daily programs include a variety of activities including; physical fitness, STEM, literacy, Social and Emotional Learning, and Art/Expression.
Our Mission
Metro Kids maintains the integrity of the Des Moines Public Schools mission by providing enrichment activities that encourage children to further their educational and social development by participating in creative, technical, recreational and interactive opportunities while attending out-of-school-time programming.
Our Goals
To serve the families of Des Moines Public Schools by providing safe, affordable and developmentally appropriate childcare programming for grade K-5 children.
