Here are the top three stories today in Des Moines:

  1. According to a new study, Central Iowa workers want more flexibility in a hybrid schedule, which could have important connections to the future of downtown Des Moines. 5,200 people from 18 businesses in the region participated in the study's survey. The study was a part of the Greater Des Moines Partnership's efforts to create a long-term plan for downtown as it recovers from the effects of the pandemic. (Des Moines Register)
  2. Police have arrested Spencer Antowyn Pierce, 55, of Des Moines in connection to a fatal stabbing at a Sonic on Monday. The Johnston Police Department reported to the Sonic on Merle Hay Road after receiving reports of a stabbing. 20-year-old Jermaine Whitaker Moses of Des Moines later died from injuries at the hospital.
