• Winnebago officials drafting ordinance for solar, crypo, battery and data center facilities (kgloam.com) — Winnebago County supervisors, meeting in Forest City, are starting work on new zoning rules that would govern large solar fields, crypto mining, data centers, and battery storage tied to wind turbines. Officials say they want to address water use and noise limits up front, using other Iowa counties' ordinances as models while aiming to protect nearby residents and future development.
