Fort Dodge gunfire leaves man dead, two wounded as accused killer allegedly shoots at cop (northiowatoday.com) โ Gunfire outside a Fort Dodge bar on South 4th Street left a 27-year-old local man dead and two others wounded, and led to an exchange of shots between the suspected gunman and a police officer. A 20-year-old Fort Dodge man has been arrested on murder and attempted-murder charges as state and local investigators continue probing this latest in a series of serious shootings in the community.

2. Iowa State Patrol investigate a crash of two vehicles near Fort Dodge Monday morning. (kqradio.com) โ A Monday morning crash on Fort Dodge's southeast side sent a local Jeep driver to UnityPoint HealthโTrinity Regional Medical Center after his SUV turned left into the path of an oncoming pickup on Quail Avenue near 220th Street. Iowa State Patrol says the SUV was totaled, the pickup sustained about $10,000 in damage, and the Jeep driver was cited for failing to yield while turning left.
