• Fundraiser established for NW Iowa couple following house fire (ktiv.com) — A local Hospers couple is receiving community support through an online fundraiser after a Sept. 23 house fire left one partner hospitalized with smoke inhalation. The City of Hospers is promoting the GiveSendGo campaign to help Frannie and Kevin Burd with recovery costs, following a multi-department firefighting response that kept the blaze from spreading further.
