2nd Iowa City Council Listening Post On Improving Community Policing Focuses On Special Needs Populations
This event will serve as the second in a series of six listening posts to aid in the development of a plan to improve community policing.

Members of the Iowa City City Council will hold a Listening Post at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 22, 2020, over Zoom. Council representatives Susan Mims, John Thomas, and Janice Weiner will be in attendance.

This event will serve as the second in a series of six listening posts to aid in the development of a plan to improve community policing. Each event will feature a different area of focus, and relevant service providers will be invited to contribute their insight and expertise to the conversation.
Meeting to focus on special needs populations
The Tuesday, Sept. 22 event will focus on the topics of special needs populations. Local service providers who will be in attendance include Mary Roberts of The Village Community and Sarah Martinez of Access 2 Independence of Eastern Iowa.

Residents can register for the Zoom meeting online.
Those who cannot attend can submit ideas using the online form at www.icgov.org/BLM, under Community Policing Public Input.
