The Brits Have Us Beat in Protesting Trump: Clever and Amusing!
Balloon baby Trump in his nappie, Trump on his golden toilet throne with his cell phone in his hand, chants telling the Donald to go home...

The Brits are better at trolling Pres. Trump than we are. Even the royal family managed to get in their subtle or not-so-subtle licks during Trump's royal visit. Trump and his family were not invited to stay at the palace. Perhaps the queen assumed that Trump would rather stay at a hotel he owns, enriching himself once more by charging the rent off to American taxpayers.
It was highly entertaining to listen to the British pundits commenting on Trump's arrival, the protesters' chants, jeers, signs, and balloon babies of Trump holding his cell phone. However, I was momentarily dismayed when one British pundit indulged himself in a cruel take-down of soon-to-be former Prime Minister Theresa May that was worse than his take-down of Trump:
May: "A lame duck...The lamest of lame ducks."

It just went on and on! Feel better now, mate?
Back home, Republican senators began to realize they might have spines after all as Trump planned to tariff Mexico, starting with five percent, and threatening to increase tariff percentages by five percent a month if Mexico didn't stop the flow of immigrants from central America.

Just imagine Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY), Sen. John Thune (R-SD), and Sen. Charles Grassley (R-IA) threatening to override Trump's veto if he tariffs Mexico! They must be worried about voter reaction to higher consumer prices. Mexico is our second largest trading partner.
What could Republican senators possibly be worried about? Losing their places at the trough they've been feeding at? Getting voted out of office?
According to the Ditch Mitch Fund cited in The Hill, Mitch McConnell's approval rating in Kentucky is 33%; his disapproval rating is 56%; 11% of Kentucky voters are "unsure." Nevertheless, McConnell has a razor-thin lead over his Democratic opponent. Why? I guess working-class Kentuckians have been kicked in the teeth so long they'd miss the pain if it stopped.
