Weave copper wire to make a tight stitch.Then shape your weaving into a hoop.The ear wire comes from the wires used to weave.Please note that the wire used is copper.If you are allergic to wearing copper, you can learn on copper, then purchase sterling or gold-filled wire to create the pair you wear!No experience needed.Instructor: Zanetta Hoehle.Registration is $72 and includes all materials and instruction. This class will teach you the art of lampworking, a technique of using a torch and melting glass rods to create various shapes.Safety and appropriate equipment handling are emphasized.Your beads will need to stay in a kiln overnight to be annealed.No previous experience needed. Instructor: Karen Kubby.NOTE: Participants must be at least 15 years old.Registration is $120 and includes all materials, instruction, use of studio and tools, and annealing.Register in person, via phone at 319 338-1566, or on-line.
