We are pleased to announce the return of the Juried Youth Art Show at The Chait Galleries Downtown! We have updated the show to include any young artist less than 20 years of age who lives in the Iowa City Community School District. The opening reception will be Friday April 17 from 5-8pm, so mark your calendars now for one of the most intriguing exhibits of the year.
If you are an artist in this age group, the application and prospectus can be found on our website, www.chaitgalleries.com, on the ‘Upcoming Exhibitions’ page. If you know of an up and coming young artist who fits the criteria, please pass this information along! The work will be juried and the chosen pieces will be included in the exhibit that opens on April 17. All work must be for sale.
The Under 20 Art Exhibition 2015 will give young artists the experience of entering a juried competition and to exhibit and sell work at the Chait Galleries Downtown. They will have the opportunity to work with the Gallery owners and staff in a business setting, as well as meet and speak with the professional artists and jurors who helped put this opportunity together.
