The Iowa City Parks and Forestry Division will be removing mature Ash trees from several areas in Mercer Park. Please be advised that work may impede parking on Monday, Dec. 6, 2021, at Mercer Park, Mercer Park Aquatic Center and Scanlon Gym located at, 2701 Bradford Dr.

Trees removals will consist of Ash trees beginning to fail due to Emerald Ash Borer (EAB). There are approximately 2,000 Ash trees on public property within Iowa City. EAB tree removals are necessary for trees that have become hazardous. To learn more about EAB visit icgov.org/emeraldashborer.
