Claire McCaskill's Biggest Campaign Donors: Missouri Men
Sen. Claire McCaskill isn't the strongest Democratic candidate, but she's gotten free, effective donations: Republican male stupidity.

Senator Claire McCaskill isn't the strongest of the Democratic candidates running for reelection in 2018, but just when she looks dangerously shaky in the polls, a gallant Republican male opponent steps out of the shadows and hands her a fool-proof campaign gift: his own big mouth.
First time she ran, her campaign gift was Republican opponent Todd Akin, who made oral references to "legitimate" rape. The odds were stacked heavily against her before Akin opened his mouth and put his foot in it. McCaskill won a seat in the Senate.
This time one of McCaskill's Republican opponents is Courtland Sykes, who is quoted as talking about feminists as "career obsessed banshees" with "snake-filled heads." He expects his fiance to have dinner on the table by six and expects to raise "traditional" daughters who will also be trained to have dinner on the table by six.

He told the Independent (U.K.) he wants to run his campaign like President Trump. He'll advocate for a border wall with Mexico and push pro-gun, anti-abortion policies.
“We’re going to be a wrecking shop, clean house, and reconstruct,” Courtland Sykes said. “That’s our goal.”

Wasn't there another Republican candidate, beaten but not forgotten on the East Coast somewhere, who wanted dinner on the table by six?
Pres. Trump prefers the favored Republican candidate in the Missouri race, Attorney General Josh Hawley.
