In this art workshop participants of all ability levels will learn to make beautiful books from affordable everyday materials. Gelatin printing is an inexpensive, low-tech, and non-toxic printing method that achieves elegant results equally appropriate for home enthusiasts and professional printers. Just as exquisite printing can be achieved from found objects and the jell-o from one’s cupboard, complete book structures can be created with simple materials and tools. The stiff leaf structure taught will use double stick tape adhesive, so there is no complicated sewing or long drying time. Come to this workshop ready to learn, and leave with a beautiful hand printed and bound book!
