Spay-ghetti and No Balls Dinner and Auction!

All proceeds will go towards IHA mission to reduce pet over-population in Iowa!And that's a cause that's simply im-pasta-ble to resist!

We'll kick off the evening's gustatory enchantment with a gourmet Spay-ghetti feast drenched in luscious marinara or meat sauces just like your spunky Italian grandma used to make (not Italian? Well, we suspect you're plenty spunky). Complementing your main dish will be a tantalizing line up of wines and non-alcoholic beverages, crusty breads, crispy green salad and a scrumptious desert.
 
Music will be provided courtesy of the inimitable Bill Hook and Friends, who will serenade you with all the romance and charm of that chef playing accordion in the alley for those two love-struck pooches in Lady and the Tramp. We'll give you a wine ticket for your first glass of wine. Additional glasses will be available for a small added donation.
 
We'll also have a grand array of unique, eminently desirable donated items available in our Silent Auction. How Silent? Even dogs can't hear it! Auction items will be displayed throughout the evening with bidding closed at 7:30.  Winners will be ceremoniously announced at 7:45.  Yes, we're THAT organized. All items may be purchased and picked up that evening. Or, if the winner is no longer present (maybe it was those additional glasses of wine...) we will contact them to arrange pick up/drop off.
 
For those seeking that special give-it-up-for-the-critters-themed item, we will also be selling our humane awareness
 t- shirts, oh-so-clever magnets and trendy-as-all-get-out giving bands and a variety of pet themed bowls beautifully hand painted by local student artists!
 
For the young animal lovers in your family, we'll have a fun-packed activity table for kids to make totally cool masks just in time for Halloween and other refrigerator-worthy artwork.  And last but not least, everyone can "Step right up!" and do a good turn for the animals with our ever-popular "Wheel of Furtune" Spinner!  Every spin wins a prize, and it just costs a buck! Yowzah!
 
So mark your calendars. And please join us October 13th at Iowa City's historic Old Brick for a festive, fabulous evening dedicated to IHA's on-going mission to reduce the number of unwanted animals overloading the shelters and rescue organizations here in Eastern Iowa.
