Fire Badly Damages Trailer at Iowa City's Forest View Trailer Court
No one was injured in the blaze that destroyed a trailer early this morning on Laura Drive.

No one was injured in a fire that tore through a manufactured home unit on Laura Drive early this morning.
According to an news release, fire engines responded to a fire at 1205 Laura Drive, Lot 62 at 4:55 a.m. this morning. The department responded with three engines, a ladder truck, and a battalion chief.
The first units to arrive on the scene noted the structure was "fully involved" with fire.
Fire fighters brought the fire under control within 45 minutes and the fire was extinguished within two hours of the alarm sounding. The home was evacuated prior to the arrival of the fire department and there were no injuries as a result of the fire. The Red Cross was called in to assist the home's occupants.

Nearby homes suffered heat and water damage, according to the release. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
