Hawkeye Running Back Johnson Cited with Disorderly House
The University of Iowa running back was charged after police responded to a report of a large house party.

Another University of Iowa Hawkeye running back has showed up in the police blotter this summer.
De'Andre Jacquese Johnson, 20, of Iowa City is facing a charge of keeping a disorderly house, a simple misdemeanor, after police responded to a house party at his residence.
According to an Iowa City polcie criminal complaint, a police officer was dispatched at 11:27 p.m. Thursday night to 1311 West Benton Street for the report of a loud house party.

Upon arriving at the scene the officer reported seeing approximately fifty people in the area around the house, who subsequently fled into the house or backyward upon seeing the officer.
Loud voices could be heard from the street and empty plastic drink cups and alcoholic beverage contaienrs were in the front yard, according to the complaint. The officer reported not being let in immediately after requestion those in the house to do so.

The officer then circled around to the back and found Johnson, one of the residents, in the backyard.
Johnson is expected to compete for playing time this fall on the University of Iowa football team with the running back position already depleted by injuries and arrests.
