Iowa City Animal Services Seeks Assistance Identifying Dog’s Owner Following Bite

Iowa City Animal Services is seeking information regarding the rabies vaccination.

On Wednesday, Nov. 4, 2020, Iowa City Animal Services received notification of a person who was bitten by a dog.

According to the information provided, the bite occurred around 2 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 4, 2020, near Court Hill Park, just south of the intersection of East Court and Westminster. The victim was bitten while attempting to breakup a fight between their leashed dog and a gold lab-type dog that was loose. The loose dog was not with an owner at the time of the incident. The dog has a full length tail, droopy ears, thicker coat, and was not wearing a collar.
