Iowa City Fire Department Extinguishes Hudson Avenue Garage Fire
The fire apparently was stopped with only minimal damage. There we no injuries reported.

A garage fire broke out Sunday evening at 825 Hudson Avenue but the was able to douse it before it got out of control, according to a department media release.
There were no injuries as a result of the blaze.
According to the release, at 6:25 p.m. Sunday evening the fire department received a call of a building fire at the above address and Quint 2, Engine 1, Truck 1, and Battalion Chief responded. The units on scene reported there was a garage fire at the back of the property.

The fire was extinguished quickly, and confined to the rear of the garage, where it was finally put out.
The fire department is still investigating the cause of the fire, which caused an estimated $3,000 in damage according to the release. Fire crews remained on the scene for three hours.
