Iowa City Man Sentenced to Serve Five Years in Prison for Child Porn Charge
The man was sentenced to 5 years in prison for the offense that allegedly occurred in 2009.
Another area man is going to spend several years in prison for child porn possession.
According to a justice department press release, Ryan Felts, 27, of Iowa City was sentenced last Friday to five years in prison for distribution of child pornography. Felts will also have to serve an additional five years of supervised release following his time in prison, according to the release.
On Nov. 30, 2009, Felts accessed a chat room on a pornography website and
allegedly posted several images of child pornography. Police tracked this to Felts and executed a search warrant on his residence on July 29, 2010. Felts admitted to uploading the images, according to the release.
