On Tuesday, Nov. 24, 2020, the Mayor delayed the starting date for the planned water rate increase, from February 1, 2021, to July 1, 2021.

The water rate increase had originally been slated for July 1, 2020. Due to the economic hardships throughout the world brought on by the COVID-19 pandemic, the rate increase had been delayed by the Mayor two previous times: on May, 11, 2020, and on Sept. 11, 2020.
