Iowa City Police Investigating Friday Morning Stabbing at Kum & Go

Police are looking into a reported stabbing at the Mormon Trek Kum and Go. Injuries received were nonfatal.


The parking lot near the Convenience Store, 955 Mormon Trek Boulevard, was roped up with police tape Friday morning as police looked into a reported stabbing.

The Iowa City Press-Citizen is reporting that the call came in 2:50 a.m. this morning for a nonlethal stabbing. Iowa City Police Sgt. Denise Brotherton told police that investigators are still looking into the circumstances of the incident.

The individual with stab wounds was transported to the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics.
