Iowa City Police: Muscatine Avenue Walgreens Robbed at Knifepoint Early this Morning
Police are looking for a middle aged male who reportedly brandished a large knife while committing the crime.

Iowa City Police are looking for more information about a man armed with a large knife who robbed the Muscatine Avenue this morning.
According to a police news release, a robbery that had just occurred was reported to them at 1:42 a.m. this morning.
The cashier told police that a middle-aged black male had entered the store and feigned a purchase before brandishing a knife and demanding money from the register once it was opened for the purchase. According to the release, the man then reached over the counter, grabbed money from the register, and fled. He was last seen running west from the store, according to the police.

The employee was not injured the robbery, according to the release.
The man was described as an African American male, between the ages of 40 and 45 years-old, with a thin build and wearing a black coat, fuzzy hat, and having a thin moustache.
