Iowa City Police Still Looking for Man who Stole Sex Doll from Romantix

In an update today, police released an image from the crime.

This morning police released an image from the armed robbery at the sex shop early last month. Police are still looking for the suspect from this crime.Β 

In the image, a man with a ski mask is shown making off with a large box. Among the items the man stole was reportedly a high-quality sex doll.

On January 12, a female employee called 911 and said a man had entered the store, displayed a large knife, and attempted to enter the employee area behind the counter. The woman said she decided to bolt from behind the counter and run away, and despite the fact the man chased her briefly, she got away without injuries.

After the officers interviewed the woman, she described the supect as being a white male, between 5-foot-8 inches and 5-foot-10 inches and 165 pounds. She said he wore a black coat and a scarf over his face and he was carrying a backpack. The knife was described by the woman as being a large hunting knife, six to eight inches in length.

The man made off with store merchandise of an undisclosed value.
