Iowa City Police: Woman Accused of Punching Other Woman, Stealing her Phone
The incident allegedly occurred on Sunday morning.

An Iowa City woman was arrested and charged with punching another woman and stealing her phone in the early morning hours Sunday, according to a criminal complaint.
Police say Tyshiana Lakiya Mahomes, 20, of 2401 Highway 6 E, Iowa City was arrested and charged with second-degree robbery, a felony, for the offense.
According to the criminal complaint, at 1:30 a.m. on Sunday morning police officers were flagged down by an unidentified person at 100 E. College Street and told of a crime that had just occurred. The person who flagged down the police was reportedly one of the witnesses to the crime, according to the complaint.

The witness and the woman who was reportedly assaulted told police that Mahomes had allegedly asked the woman to borrow her phone. When the woman asked for her phone back, Mahomes allegedly asked her "What phone?" and turned to leave, putting the phone into her pocket. When the woman persisted, Mahomes allegedly grabbed the woman, punched her several times and fled.
Mahomes later was apprehended by the police and identified by both the witness and the woman, according to the complaint. Mahomes was also charged with public intoxication.
