Police: Iowa City Woman Stabbed Victim with Ice Pick Following Fight
Police say Edweana Angelique Howard caused the unnamed victim serious injury, requiring hospitalization.

IOWA CITY, IA -- An Iowa City woman is facing felony charges after she allegedly stabbed an unidentified victim with an ice pick following a fight.
According to Iowa City Police, officers were called on Saturday, Sept. 1 at 2:43 a.m. for the report of a stabbing. Emergency responders transported the person to the hospital after discovering he or she was suffering from multiple stab wounds.
After further investigation, it was determined after speaking with eyewitnesses and the victim that Edweana Angelique Howard, 37, of 2424 Aster Avenue, Iowa City had been involved in a physical altercation with the stabbing victim.

After Howard and this person were separated, more words were exchanged and Howard re-engaged with the person. At this point the victim was stabbed several times with an unknown object, identified by the victim as an ice pick.
For this incident, Howard was charged with going armed with intent, a Class D felony, and willfully causing another a serious injury, a Class C felony.
Howard is being held in jail on a $22,750 cash only bond.
