Lead Cook Kirkwood Community College Cedar Rapids, IA 7/1/2013JOB DESCRIPTION
The Hotel at Kirkwood is looking for an experienced Cook who will be responsible for preparing, seasoning and cooking a variety of foods. In addition to producing quality food for The Class Act restaurant, the Lead Cook is held accountable for coordinating and directing a staff of cooks. This position will also serve as a trainer who supervises the learning experiences of the students in all areas of The Hotel at Kirkwood Center, The Kirkwood Center for Hospitality Arts and The Kirkwood Center for Continuing Education.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Requirements include
- High School diploma or the equivalent required.
- Must have a valid driver’s license and own transportation.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Post high school degree.
- Two years full-time experience in a related hospitality setting or the equivalent education and related work experience.
- Successful completion of the core assessments of the Skills Advantage WorkKeys Program.Post
