Letter to New NAMI President

Mary Giliberti:

As a NAMI President in Illinois, I told your predecessor that NAMI National does not do enough to speak out  against the Criminalization of Asperger Syndrome and  Criminalization of Mental Illness. We must end this mass incarceration that robs our children of their youth and violates their civil rights.  My son is non-violent and was threatened with a stun belt.  He will be sentenced  to 55 years for phone calls and emails. He never left the State of Illinois and was extradited to Iowa. Many of our loved ones are trapped in the gulag of American jails due to their mental illness.  I urge you to speak out on this situation.  If you save a life, you save a world.
