London 2012 Olympics Results: Hawkeye Swimmers Fall in Early Rounds

Swimmers Heather Arseth and Dragos Agache failed to qualify for the final races in their respective events.


There will be no gold this year for two swimmers with Black and Gold affiliations.

Heather Arseth, a sophomore at the , did not get past the initial heats in the 200m Freestyle competition, finishing fourth in her heat with a time of 2:07:81, five seconds behind the winner of that heat.

On July 28, former University of Iowa swimmer Dragos Agache swam for his native Romania, also falling in his initial heat in the 100 meter breaststroke with a time of 1:02.93.
