Mission Creek Lit Crawl at Beadology Iowa

Join the Lit Crawl downtown this Friday 5-8pm.

Friday, April 8: Mission Creek Festival Lit Crawl: Iowa Youth Writing Project: 5pm to 6pm—FREE

Writers and publishers from across the country will invade downtown Iowa City for three hours of readings featuring more than 60 authors representing over 15 publishers. This three-hour tour will take you across and into a number of Iowa City's small businesses, where you'll hear fiction, nonfiction, poetry, translations, and more from some of today's best writers.

Come to the Bead Lab to hear more about the Iowa Youth Writing Project (IYWP). IYWP is a non-profit outreach collective founded by University of Iowa Writers’ Workshop graduates in 2010 that aims to join Iowa City’s unique literary heritage with Iowa’s larger community by empowering, inspiring, and educating Iowa’s youth through language arts and creative thinking.

The Lit Crawl starts at 5pm. Start in one location and progress your way through downtown to choices of three locations in each of three time slots. For details go to www.missionfreak.com.
