New Financial Assistance Program For Small Businesses Available In Iowa City

The loan amount can be matched by a line of credit, commercial loan, your own funds, or matching funds from another grant or loan source.

The City of Iowa City recently made changes to its Economic Development CDBG programs in order to focus on small businesses – businesses with fewer than four employees. The City can provide those eligible up to $15,000 in assistance, consisting of a matching loan up to $10,000 with 0% interest, and a grant up to $5,000 for technical assistance for items such as website development, payroll services and/or accounting and tax services.
