Annette “Nettie” L. Walker, 62, of West Branch, died Friday, January 31st at her home.
Visitation will be held Wednesday from 11:00 a.m. until noon at Lensing Funeral & Cremation Service in Iowa City. Funeral services will begin at noon. Burial will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery in Iowa City.
Memorials may be directed to the Annette Walker Memorial Fund.
Nettie was born July 21, 1951 in Iowa City, the daughter of Edward and Marie (Ziegler) Kober.Growing up in Iowa City, she graduated from Iowa City High School. Nettie later devoted her time to being a mother and a homemaker.
Moving to Missouri in 1988, Nettie worked as a Care Facility Administrator in Van Buren, Missouri. Upon moving back to Iowa in 2005 -- she made her home in West Branch.
Survivors include her mother, Marie Kober of West Branch; a son, Andrew Walker of Piedmont, Missouri; brothers and sisters, Loren (Kay) Kober of West Branch, Yvonne Kahler of Alamo, Texas, Virginia Alston of West Branch, and Leland (Becky) of West Liberty; two grandchildren, Halie Walker and Ozzie Walker; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father, a son Danny Walker, brothers William Kober and Henry Kober, a granddaughter Diana Walker, a brother-in-law Ralph Kahler, a nephew Jeff Kober, and a special friend, Jim.
