Charles Edward "Ed" Sedivec, 82, of Iowa City, passed away peacefully at his home on Sunday, May 18, 2014.
Ed was born in Iowa City on February 2, 1932, the son of Charles and Lulu (Stafford) Sedivec. He married Tina Nichols on January 6, 1989.
For many years, Ed was a mechanic and owned and operated Ed’s Auto and Truck Repair in Coralville.
He is survived by his wife Tina of Iowa City and ten children: Deb (Randy) Noel of Iowa City, Larry (Wanda) Sedivec of Oxford, Vickie Sedivec of North Liberty, Richard O’Leary of North Liberty, Joseph (Christy) O’Leary of Iowa City, Timothy O’Leary of Fargo, North Dakota, Frederick (Janice) O’Leary of Iowa City, Karina (Ray) Forman of Tiffin, Diana (Steve) Palmer of Iowa City and Kelly Sedivec of North English; twenty-three grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Ed was preceded in death by his parents, a brother Roy and his wife Alice, and a granddaughter, Mellissa “Missy” (Noel) Miner.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to Iowa City Hospice.
