Faye L. Cahoon, 95, of Cedar Rapids, died Saturday, April 26, 2014 at Methwick Manor in Cedar Rapids.
Faye chose to be cremated. No services will be held.
Instead of flowers and plants, the family requests that memorials be directed to The Methwick Endowment Fund.
Survivors include her daughter, Sandy Gillooly (Don) of Auburn, Washington; daughter-in-law, Betty Cahoon of Iowa City; nine grandchildren, Jeff (Jennie) Cahoon of Lafayette, Indiana, Brad (Delilah) Cahoon of Iowa City, Debbie (Greg) Schraeder of Omaha, John (Becky) Cahoon of Iowa City, Doug (Ashley) Cahoon of Iowa City, Pat (Tom) Palechek of Iowa City, Brian (Jen) Titus of Cable, Wisconsin, Alan (Aubrey) Gillooly of Auburn, Washington and Brian (Jen) Gillooly of Buckley, Washington; twenty-two great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren; and a very special companion, Kermit “Chirp” Holmquist.
Her husband Gilbert, a daughter Elaine, a son Larry and two brothers died before her.
