Lucia “Lucy” A. Marino, 78, died at her home on Wednesday, February 19th.
No services are planned. Committal of her cremated remains will be at a later date in Saskatoon, SK, Canada.
A memorial fund will be established.
The family request no floral tributes.
Lucy was born May 31, 1935 in Cleveland, Ohio. She received masters degrees in journalism from Michigan State University and in library science from Drexel Institute in Philadelphia.
Lucy moved to Iowa City in the late 60s where she was a reference librarian at the University of Iowa Library, until her retirement.
Survivors include her sister, Mary Marino (Christopher Kent) and her nephew, Andrew (Leslie) Kent and their children, Max, Lily and Piper, all of Saskatoon.
