About a dozen protestors gathered together at the Occupy Iowa City encampment in College Green Park to protest New York authorities decision to force Occupy Wall Street from Zuccotti Park.
About a dozen members of Occupy Iowa City gathered Tuesday night in College Green Park to hold a candlelight vigil in support of the Occupy Wall Street movement, following the eviction and arrests of OWS members at Zuccotti Park earlier in the day.
Occupy Iowa City members stood in a circle lit by candles at the center of the park and used a light to illuminate blog accounts from the Occupy Wall Street members who recounted the experience of the eviction and sounded a call to continue their efforts.
"You can't evict an idea whose time has come," read Shay O'Reilly, a member of the group.
