Police: Argument in Taco Bell Leads to Assault Charge; Iowa City Police Blotter, June 12

Tiaunta Marie Martin, 23, of Iowa City, along with another female not named in the complaint, is accused of assaulting a 17-year-old girl after an argument that started in the Taco Bell at 2320 Taylor Dr.

Martin and the other woman are accused of following the 17-year-old out of the Taco Bell location and attacking her, striking her several times in the face, causing lacerations and a black eye. The 17-year-old then fled to her home on Taylor Drive, saying she was frightened for her safety and that she feared the two would attack her again.

Martin was charged with assault causing bodily injury, a serious misdemeanor.
