POLL: The Return of Redistricting, what is your Take?
In what has become an annual affair, redistricting discussions have popped again for the Iowa City School District. We wanted your take on the upcoming changes.

As was , redistricting is being proposed for the Iowa City School District. This follows last year's redistricting discussion centering on the opening of Borlaug Elementary School, which followed a host of other redistricting discussions.
So what's your take, is this a needed swith or are you feeling some redistricting fatigue?
Here are the proposed changes that would occur for the fall 2013:

- 106 students out of Wood to Longfellow (Dolphin Lake Pointe and Bon Aire)
- 104 students out of Longfellow to Twain (Windsor Ridge and Redwing Estates)
- 69 students out of Twain to Hills (Lake Ridge)
North Central Junior High boundary:
- Wickham Elementary students move from North Central to Northwest Junior High.
These changes address a number of priorities, according to the district.

- Moves toward goal of bringing schools within 20 precent of Free/Reduced Lunch district average.
- Addresses overcrowding at North Central.
