Weather permitting, beginning on Monday, October 7, 2013 at 9:00 a.m., southbound S. First Avenue will be reduced to one lane of traffic from Lower Muscatine Road to Highway 6. This lane reduction is necessary to facilitate work on water main in the area. It is anticipated normal traffic will resume by October 21st.
This lane reduction is in addition to Northbound traffic on S First Avenue being reduced to one lane of traffic from Highway 6 to Lower Muscatine Road through October 15th.
Motorists are to allow extra travel time or seek an alternate route during this time periods. As always, caution should be exercised when traveling in construction areas.
