Sen. Chuck Grassley's Twitter Account Hacked
The Internet she is a cruel mistress.

Iowa Senator Chuck Grassley, an avid Twitter user, fell prey to some Internet shenanigans today, as his Twitter account was usurped by another user. (These Tweets are gone now, see attached screen shot for some of the hacked Tweets)
The user, who said he was an "anonymous follower" (likely referring to the hacker group, "anonymous"), had control of Grassley's account for a little over an hour, and expressed his dissatisfaction with Grassley's previous support of the SOPA and PIPA legislation. One of the Tweets read:
"Dear Iowans, vote against ACTA, SOPA, and PIPA, because this man, Chuck Grassley, wants YOUR internet censored and all of that BS,"

However, Grassley had recently pulled his support for the bill, saying that it needs work.
Other Tweets during the take over included, "#WINNING" and "uh-oh looks like chuck is online too."

Here is a statement from Grassley's office about the incident:
Senator Grassley's staff noticed that his Twitter account had been compromised a few minutes after the first false Tweet was posted, and staff immediately called Twitter to obtain access to the account so the password could be changed. The password has been changed, and Senator Grassley controls the account again. Senator Grassley posts his Tweets from his BlackBerry. He's traveling from Iowa to Washington this afternoon.
The incident was reported to the Senate Sergeant at Arms.
