Sidewalk Work In Front Of Senior Center, Ecumenical Towers Scheduled For July 19 In Iowa City
As part of the work, the existing curb ramp will be removed, then replaced later that day.

On Monday, July 19, 2021, MidAmerican Energy will be conducting gas line work that will require the closure of a mid-block curb ramp in front of the Washington Street entrance of the Iowa City Senior Center and Ecumenical Towers.

As part of the work, the existing curb ramp will be removed, then replaced later that day. Curb access will remain unaltered at both the Gilbert and Linn Street intersections
Access to the Senior Center and Ecumenical Towers will remain open throughout the work. The sidewalk will remain partially open and accessible to pedestrians while the work is completed. The area impacted will be from the mid-block curb ramp to just west of the entrance of Teddy's Bigger Burgers.
