Iowa City Police: Sex in Front Lawn Leads to Charges

Iowa City Police arrested a man and a woman they say were having oral sex in a front yard on Tuesday.

According to an Iowa City Police complaint, Darcy Leroy Norem, 49, address unknown and Christy Angela McGinnis, 31, 2401 Highway 6, Iowa City were spotted by a neighbor while they were allegedly engaging in oral sex in the front yard of a residence at the 500 block of Normandy Drive. The neighbor then contacted police.

When an officer arrived on scene, he noted that the pair was still "doing the same thing." They were then separated and arrested.

Mcginnis was charged with public intoxication and unlawful possession of a prescription drug for Mirtazapine found on her person after her arrest. Norem was charged with third-or-subsequent offense public intoxication. All these charges are misdemeanors of varying degrees of severity.
