Police: Davenport Man Uses Video, Photos to Coerce Woman into Performing Sex Acts in University of Iowa Dorm
Jordan Michael Jeffery Garr, 21, is accused of extorting a female victim into performing sexual acts on him and another man in Currier Residence Hall. He faces felony and misdemeanor charges.

IOWA CITY, IA - A Davenport man is facing felony and misdemeanor charges after he allegedly coerced at least one female victim into performing sexual acts on him in the University of Iowa's Currier Residence Hall last spring.
According to University Police criminal complaints, on the evening of April 18 at Currier, Jordan Michael Jeffery Garr, 21, took video of a woman taking her clothes off. He then allegedly told the woman that he would post the video online unless she performed oral sex acts on him and another subject. On May 11, Garr allegedly repeated this pattern, taking a photo of a woman's breast and telling her he would delete it if she brought him sneakers.
The woman complied, according to police.

University officials say there is no record of Garr ever being enrolled at the University of Iowa.
The day earlier on May 10, Garr and another subject are accused of holding the woman's arm behind her back, pressing her against the wall, while telling the other person to take of her pants and spread her legs. The two then allegedly groped the woman despite her protestations of "No, stop."

It is unclear if the women and the other person involved were the same in each incident, but the room number is identical in each of the criminal complaints.
The Daily Iowan contacted university police back in the spring when the incident first came to light, but got little response from the university.
“… There is nothing more that we can share regarding this very sensitive case,” Chuck Green, the assistant vice president for the UI police, said in an email May 21.
UI spokesman Tom Moore declined to comment on the incident Monday.
“It’s a criminal matter, so it’s inappropriate to discuss at this point,” he said.
Garr now faces charges of extortion, a Class D felony, assault, a simple misdemeanor, and false imprisonment, a serious misdemeanor. He is currently being held on $12,000 cash bond in the Johnson County Jail.
The victim is not named.
