Iowa City Update is a weekly video featuring City of Iowa City projects, programs and events. Topics this week include plans to remove damaged and diseased trees, a voucher program for residents to plant trees, and funding opportunities for affordable housing and public service projects. Tree Removal and Replanting

The City's forestry division will be using the winter season to remove trees, mostly damaged from Emerald Ash Borer and the Derecho, and will later replant a variety of species.

Affordable Housing, Public Service Funding

Organizations working on affordable housing and public service projects can apply for some of the hundreds of thousands in funding now available through the City.
