A break in a 12" water main occurred at approximately 5:30 this morning. The break impacted the water system for about 45 minutes, causing pressures to drop to lower than normal levels. The system was back at full pressure at approximately 6:15 a.m. The 100 block of Washington Street is temporarily closed until repairs are completed.
Water customers may experience some brown water as flow reversal occurred in water mains in the city. Running your water will clear up any discoloration and is safe to drink once it clears.
