Back to School: Iowa City School Start and Registration Dates

It may not feel like it now, but summer is almost over.

There is just a few weeks left until Summer break is done and school begins again at the Iowa City School District on August 16.

Iowa City Regina also begins its first day of school on August 16.

All registrations begin next month with the following dates available on the school calendar here . Elementary school registration kicks things off on Friday Aug. 3 from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Registration for other schools comes the following week. Note, parents prior to these dates.

Looking to do some back to school shopping? Here's some info on the that also will be held in the first week of August, the same day as elementary registration.

City High 8/6/12 Seniors 8:30am-2:30pm  8/7/12 Juniors 8:30am-2:30pm    8/8/12 Sophomores 8:30am-2:30pm    8/9/12 Freshmen 8:30am-2:30pm

West High 8/7/12 Seniors   8:00am-3:30pm 8/8/12 Juniors 8:00am-3:30pm  8/9/12 Sophomores 8:00am-3:30pm   8/10/12 Freshmen 8:00am-3:30pm

North Central 8/8/12 AM 7th Grade    8:30am-10:30pm   8/8/12 PM 8th Grade 12:30pm-2:30pm

Northwest 8/10/12  7th Grade    8:00am-10:00am   8/10/12 8th Grade  10:30am-12:00pm

South East 8/9/12 AM 8th Grade    8:15am-11:00am    8/9/12 PM 7th Grade  12:00pm-2:15pm
